Social roots on own account

In this article, we will explain how you can apply for social roots as a self-employed individual, or freelancer. An immigrant living in Spain for three years can apply for residence through social integration, and there are various ways to do so. Firstly, there’s the most common route, where a person can apply for social integration as a salaried worker.

Some may apply for social roots by indicating that they do not work but depend on their spouse or parent, in which case they will have residency without a work permit. However, there are immigrants who have realized that job stability is truly achieved by working for themselves, as independent contractors, and these individuals can apply for residence authorization on their own account without depending on anyone else.

Social Roots as Self-Employed: How is it Processed?

Firstly, as always, we demonstrate that this person has been living in Spain for three years. Secondly, a business plan must be provided. This plan outlines what the individual intends to do, how they plan to do it, what resources they have, what projects they have, and what business contracts they have for this project.

To convince the person reviewing the application that our client is prepared to work on their own, we present a project of about 1215 pages, but we only discuss pure information. Typically, our clients are already engaged in this activity, and we provide all possible evidence, such as proof of merchandise purchases, product sales, website purchases, and many other proofs.

Generally, the application is approved by clearly demonstrating that this person works, has experience, and the application is not fictitious, or false, meaning that this person does not have a contract and claims to be self-employed.

Another document that must be provided is a social services report where social workers state that this person is integrated into Spanish society, and they recommend providing work contracts.

Immigration authorities are now very strict with the means of livelihood of the person applying for residence on their own account, and they also have to demonstrate that they have some financial resources.
